“Porto” captures the layered impressions of a city steeped in memory, movement, and culture. The painting is a mixed-media collage inspired by my travel experience in Porto — a place that welcomed me with its golden reflections, vibrant alleyways, and poetic mood.
At the center of the composition, a shimmering river reflects the city’s soft night lights. Birds float across the canvas, connecting sky and earth. A vivid tunnel leads the eye into abstraction, while clusters of grapes and green leaves evoke the region’s richness. Yellow-toned buildings frame the scene, where small human figures observe and connect.
Each element represents a moment felt, a detail noticed, a story remembered. Through this piece, I aimed to translate personal travel emotions into a visually symbolic cityscape — one that blends observation, memory, and creative instinct.
